Kevin J. Moran

Kevin was born in a navy hospital in Washington. He has lived in the Philippines, Humboldt County, Maryland, and currently lives in Costa Mesa. Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Humboldt State University as well as a Master of Arts degree in English from California State University of Long Beach. Kevin has also participated in a number of art classes and workshops with professional artists in Southern California.

"I admire the boldness of Expressionism and attempt, in my art, to reveal the transcendent behind the mundane. Much of my work is pen and ink, a medium that allows for simplicity and stark contrast. Painting in oils, I work very quickly, hoping to express some emotional immediacy on the canvas."
